Having planned and hoped for this pregnancy, it was the most beautiful shift as I was ready. Everything was locked in to be shot first thing on a Tuesday morning. At this stage, I was 38+3 weeks pregnant; however, Monday morning came around, and as I made my morning coffee, Goldie decided that she would begin the journey of her entrance to the world. And that&#8217;s the moment my waters broke. It is important to set daily and weekly\/monthly non-negotiables, whether as simple as a cleansed face and a minimal skincare routine in the morning or a short meditation and a coffee. It truly makes a world of difference. Feeling good is SO empowering!\u202f<\/p><p>And for new mums, create easy self-care habits and stick to them. Start the day with brushed teeth, a fresh face, your favourite products and brushed hair. Tasks like housework will still be there when you&#8217;re finished. Plan in advance, organise with family or babysitters and have self-care appointments booked to look forward to. Lock them into your calendar so they happen.
